I've had this document saved on my computer for a long time entitled "I Believe." The original idea was taken from a fashion magazine who asked celebrities 5 things that they always believed in. I'm pretty sure when I first created it, my hope was that I would day become famous and be asked that question. It has now morphed into my list that I refer back to when I need some inspiration or I feel like I'm losing my mind.
1. I believe in the healing power of bunnies
2. I believe that your car has the best acoustics in the world
3. I believe in stories that when you retell them, you question if they actually did happen
4. I believe in the power of words
5. I believe in giving forgiveness where it is needed but also forgiving yourself if you just can't find it in your heart to do so
6. I believe in handwritten thank you notes, chocolate chip cookies from scratch and reading a book printed on real paper
7. I believe in being barefoot, drinking from the hose and writing with chalk
8. I believe that there is no magic pill for losing weight or looking younger. You have to take care of yourself the hard and time-consuming way. Quick fixes only end in disappointment
9. I believe in never letting a man carry your purse. He should have enough self-respect not to want to and if you can't carry your own purse then you shouldn't have one
10. I believe that a phone call to your mom can fix just about anything or at least make the world seem less bleak

The First of Many: My New Beginning
I had this crazy thought one day that I should start a blog. I imagine that every wannabe blogger struggles with what the hell they should even blog about in an internet world where every subject already seems to have its place. But then again I have way too many thoughts in my head and a small part of me hopes that I can carve out a little part of the world that is just my own.
So here I am. The Power of 10. The thoughts of a overworked college student all organized into lists of 10. 10 things that I feel like sharing with the world. Maybe it will change your day, maybe it won't but at least it won't waste too much of your time.
Lists are my thing. Lists make life so much easier and therefore my life is filled with lists. To-do lists, grocery lists, goal lists, wish lists. Easy, Consumable, Quick. Just like everything seems to be now.
So here it is. The Power of 10.
